Meet Sage

My name is Sage Pedersen and I am 17 years old, currently living in Dalton Gardens, Idaho. This fall, I will be a senior at Coeur d'Alene High School. I have had a love for art since I was first able to hold a crayon in my hand. I also love music and I am an accomplished cello player. I play for the chamber orchestra at my high school and have also played cello for the North Idaho Youth Orchestra as well as in quartets during community functions. I am very fond of plants, with a special affection for succulents. I love to be in nature, enjoy hiking, riding ATVs, and camping. I enjoy spending time with my two dogs who are often the subjects for my paintings. I am also active in many sports including running/hurdles, downhill skiing in the winter months, and wake surfing in the summer months.
I have participated in Art on the Green which is an annual arts festival in Coeur d'Alene and won the Art on the Green poster contest in 2020. It is always a great inspiration for me to meet other artists and to have so many people stop by to admire my art; the experience has given me the confidence and motivation to continue to create. I also show and sell my art at a local coffee shop.
